KDM is a premium aromatic rice variety featuring long, clear white grains and a distinctive jasmine fragrance. Also known as Kow Dak Mali or Lai Mien rice, this variety originates from Cambodia and is cultivated in border regions between Vietnam and Cambodia, particularly in An Giang Province. With a long growing cycle of around six months, KDM is typically harvested once a year in the spring.
When cooked, KDM rice produces soft, naturally fragrant rice with a mild sweetness and remains pleasantly tender even after cooling. Highly regarded for its quality and aroma, KDM rice is widely consumed and exported to markets such as China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Europe, the United States, and Africa.
